Accessible transport options in Prague

Prague offers several accessible public transportation solutions to help attendees with mobility needs navigate the city comfortably and efficiently during the congress.

Journey planning tools:

To plan your journeys across Prague with ease, we recommend using the following official tools:

  • Connection finder: Use this connection search tool to plan your routes from your hotel or other locations around the city. In the "Advanced settings," you can filter for barrier-free connections to ensure your route is fully accessible.

  • Public transport maps: The transport schemes page offers detailed maps of Prague's metro, trams, and buses. Stations and routes that are wheelchair accessible are clearly marked with a wheelchair symbol.

Onboard accessibility tips:
  • When boarding trams or buses, please position yourself at the first carriage and wave to the driver to indicate that you need to use the special boarding ramp.

  • Inside trams and metro trains, there are buttons available near the doors that you can press to notify the driver if you require assistance disembarking at the next stop.

Additional resources:

To further support your travel throughout Prague, the congress website will soon feature a dedicated Accessibility section. This will include updated guidance and answers to common questions to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

We are committed to making your visit as accessible and enjoyable as possible.
